What Are All-on-4 Dental Implants?
Is the loss of multiple teeth impacting your comfort, confidence, or smile? If so, All-on-4® dental implants by Nobel Biocare® may be a good solution to bring health back to your mouth. All-on-4 dental implants offer a stable, long-term tooth replacement solution for patients who need to replace an upper or lower arch of missing or severely damaged teeth. An innovative answer to tooth loss, the All-on-4 process relies on the placement of only four dental implants in the jaw that support a natural-looking and functional full-arch restoration. Our skilled dentist is pleased to help patients restore biting ability and a confident smile after losing their natural teeth.
Replacing teeth that are no longer supporting your smile or that have been lost is important to your overall general well-being in addition to your dental health. Dental implants may be a great choice and can once again allow you to speak, smile, bite, and chew like you used to. All-on-4 dental implants offer a long-term solution and can permanently replace your missing teeth. Bringing the ultimate in convenience to your life, this implant solution is easy to maintain and can provide a more youthful and vibrant appearance for your smile. If you wear a denture and want a more permanent solution or need to replace a full-arch of missing teeth, contact Made Ya Smile in Katy, TX and schedule your implant consultation with our dentist.
Are All-on-4 Implants Right for Me?
All-on-4 dental implants may be right for your tooth replacement if you have lost most or all of your teeth in the upper or lower arches or have damaged teeth that need to be removed. Even if you have been wearing a removable denture, All-on-4 may be a more permanent option for stabilizing your tooth replacement through the lasting support of dental implants. In some cases, dental implants are not recommended for patients who have bone loss in the jaw. However, All-on-4 dental implants can often work even when bone has been lost.
To effectively replace an entire arch of teeth, the All-on-4 treatment process places four special dental implants at specific angles within your jaw to which a natural-looking and functional appliance with replacement teeth is attached. Our dentist custom-designs replacement teeth to provide a comfortable fit and natural, more youthful appearance. In most cases, All-on-4 implants are placed and restored with a temporary appliance within a single visit, allowing you to start enjoying a healthier, more confident lifestyle that very same day. All-on-4 dental implants have a 98 percent success and are often favored among patients for their lasting benefits and lifelike aesthetics.
Unlike traditional dentures, full-arch appliances used for All-on-4 procedures attach securely to implants posts placed within the jawbone. These tooth replacements do not need adhesive to stay in place and offer stable function when eating and speaking. All-on-4 dental implants also restore chewing and biting abilities to nearly full power, allowing you to eat your favorite foods once again. If you have been struggling with the effects of tooth loss and are searching for a viable replacement option, talk to our dentist and learn if you are a good candidate for All-on-4 dental implants.

"Staff was very helpful. I will be bringing my kids here, They make you feel very comfortable and I was timid at first but then Sofia the hygienist eases your fear. Dr. Hu explained it to me very professionally that I needed to take care of my treatment before it costed me more time and money. Thank you so much for finding me a place to bring my Family."- S.C. / Google / Oct 14, 2021

"From the moment that I walked in the receptionist ( I believe her name was Stephanie) greeted me right away and had me fill out my paperwork. As soon as I was done with my paperwork I was seen right away! Then Laura the dental assistant helped me with X-rays! The hygienist Sofia was so sweet she cleaned and polished my teeth so quick! They had enough time to fill in a few of my cavities and Dr. Hu along with his assistant Laura were on top of my most problematic area and took care of the job! So from the time I walked in, to the chair of the hygienist, to the chair of the dentist and back to the front with the receptionist it was all around one of the BEST visits ever! I can hardly wait to go back for my next cleaning and to get the rest of my cavities taken care of to have that healthy mouth again!"- C.G. / Google / Jul 31, 2021
How Do All-on-4 Dental Implants Work?
Advanced 3D oral images of your mouth, jaw, and face will be taken during your All-on-4 consultation to allow our dentist to fully evaluate your tooth replacement needs and plan where to place your implants within your jaw. We carefully consider the level of bone in the arch and will strategize the angle of each implant to create the most stable support for your full-arch restoration. Many patients find the All-on-4 procedure to be minimally invasive. Our team is always committed to patient comfort and offers sedation dentistry options to provide a relaxing and stress-free procedure.
On the day of your procedure, our team will numb your mouth and surgically place your All-on-4 dental implants within your jawbone. Our dentist will then secure a temporary set of teeth to your implants that will be worn until your implant posts fuse solidly with your jaw (over a period of about 3 – 6 months). This temporary appliance will still look natural and provide full function, however. When your implants are stable, we will have you return to our practice to remove your temporary and have your new custom set of teeth made to complete your tooth replacement with All-on-4.
What Happens After Dental Implant Surgery?
Once your new and final set of teeth is attached to your dental implants, you are free to go about enjoying your new smile. During the treatment process, you may notice a little swelling or discomfort after your All-on-4 implants are positioned in the jaw. Our dentist may suggest using non-prescription pain medication or give you a prescription for pain relievers to help keep you comfortable as your mouth recovers from surgery. We will review the best ways to keep your mouth clean while you heal and after you receive your permanent appliance. It is important to keep your dental implants and replacement teeth clean and free of plaque and food debris so that your supporting bone and gum tissues can remain healthy and strong. Even though your teeth are being replaced, you should still have routine dental cleanings at least every six months since plaque and tartar can still accumulate on your implants and tooth replacement appliance. With proper care, All-on-4 dental implants can support your oral health and a beautiful smile for many years to come.
Are All-on-4 Implants Covered by Insurance?
If you have dental insurance, our team will contact your provider and review your specific benefits and plan to learn if coverage is offered for All-on-4 dental implants. Any personal out-of-pocket costs will be present to you before we begin your tooth replacement procedure. Made Ya Smile in Katy, TX wants to you enjoy a healthy, lasting smile and will work with you to help find a solution that can meet your oral health needs and that fits into your budget. Our practice is pleased to accept a number of flexible payment options and partners with CareCredit® to bring low-cost and interest-free solutions to our patients and their families.
